Fall Frights

This past Wednesday Sarah got rear-ended while slowing down for a stop light. She was the only one in the car and did not get injured, other than her neck was a bit sore. The van is in the process of getting repaired.

On a happier note, we went and picked up some pumpkins yesterday. We now have quite a collection on our front porch.

  1. I was in a bit of a rush when I posted this and missed most of the details about the accident. From the picture you might have guessed that she was hit pretty hard. The guy that hit her had his brakes goo out, so he was most likely going at about the speed limit (55 mph) when he hit her. She was nearly stopped, until he made her lunge forward. The car in front of her was stopped, and she was not able to stop from the accident until she hit the car in front of her. There was no visible damage to the front of our car, or the car in front of her. That driver just checked that no one was hurt and then went on his way.

  6. Did you guys get a new van? We will probably need a new one soon. I want a full size Ford, but Shana wants something smaller. We like the Honda, but I think it is too expensive. So we will probably get a Dodge Grand Caravan. We rented one in Hawaii, and the kids all enjoyed it.

  7. Our van was declared a total loss and so we did end up buying a new van. We decided to get something equivalent to what we had before. We found a 2004 Honda Odyssey with about the same features as what our last van had.

  8. If you like the grand caravan you may also like the VW Routan as well. It is the same car with VW tuning the suspension and redoing the interior.
