November/December 2022

In November, Mary got to participate in the NJHS induction ceremony at her school. She lit a candle and talked about what it's color represented. She did awesome!

Peter waits all year for November to come so he can rake leaves. He loves it!

One night for FHE activity, we made a family pyramid. We didn't trust Lily to participate, and Jack didn't really want to.

We're trying to make good use of Peter's toilet paper collection. We had a quiet Thanksgiving at home. I made a pumpking cheesecake which I hadn't done in probably 15 years. It was so yummy!

December was busy. Three of the four Sundays, we were celebrating birthdays. First Daniel, then Lily, then Jesus. Can you believe Daniel is 15? I can't. He is such a good kid. He's still super into video games, Legos, and Star Wars. After 3 years of online school, he has really figured it out this year. He works hard and keeps up with all of his assignments, all independently, which is pretty amazing.

Next, we got to celebrate Lily. She was excited to open presents and eat her first cake. The hat was one of her gifts. I had to make dairy free frosting, which was hard to decorate with. Scott drew a cat and a dog for her.

We had a really nice Christmas even with having to stop to go to church really early. Kathleen was going to come, but got sick, so we zoomed with her for the Christmas Eve program, and again on Sunday evening for Come Follow Me. Scott made a busche de noel for our Christmas dinner. It wasn't very fancy, but it was yummy!

Lily got to try out the snow this last week. We built a snowman too.
