We had such a fun June! The kids were still in school for about a week. Then the fun began!

The last day of 2nd and 3rd grade.

 Peter turned 3! He had a choo choo train cake, and got several choo choo trains as gifts. (It's never choo-choo or just trains with him; it's always choo choo trains.) I made it orange because that is his favorite color. "Happy Birthday" is his current favorite song. He sings it all day long - to the napkins on the table, to his toys, to each of us,... He's a really sweet boy with strong opinions. He prefers to sleep on the hard wood floor to his soft bed, or even the new soft carpet on his bedroom floor. He's crazy and loving and funny, and such a joy to have around.

That night, Tina and Elise and Lucas came to stay with us for a few days. We loved having them here. We played in the backyard, and rode bikes in the front yard, we went to a splash pad, and we went to the farm.

Anna graduated from both of her preschools in the same week. She went to the same preschool Mary went to, and also did an online preschool, which is funded by the state of Utah, called Upstart.

Then Scott's parents came for a family reunion. They helped us with a few things, and we went to Lagoon together. We had so much fun. We've never done anything like that together before, so it was a real treat. I was surprised how fun, and not stressful it was. It wasn't a crowded day, which really helped, and they have so many more kid rides than I knew. We really had a fun time together.

These 2 were so brave. They tried so many rides. This one is the Wild Mouse, which they regretted.

We got soaked on Rattlesnake Rapids, but it was our favorite ride.

And in between all that, we built a retaining wall along our back fence. The fence was built quite a bit higher than our yard. Scott's grandpa had stuffed boards and bricks in the crack ,but it always bugged us, so we wanted to make it look more finished. We're really happy with how it turned out. (And by the way, I was totally wrong last month about the weight of the bricks. 185 bricks at 64 pounds each is close to 12,000 pounds!)

By the way, the peanuts are starting to blossom!

A couple nights, while Scott and I worked on the wall, we put a movie on for the kids. They loved watching movies outside!

Summer is going by too fast. The kids go back to school in just 3 weeks, but we're hoping to make the most of it! It's fun to have them growing up, and I think I've finally found the right balance of entertaining them, but also getting done the things that I do to keep myself sane. We're really having a fun time.
