Lately

Here's Benny Boy holding a balloon on his birthday, March 26th.  He has a cute, husky voice, cheeks that stand out in a special way when he smiles, big, puppy dog eyes, and cute little teeth.  Just like Janelle and Derek's, which Tina used to refer to as bunny teeth.  He says, "hooray!" and "what's up duuude?" He actually asks for hugs and kisses, especially when he is pretending he is leaving the house with a bag of some sort or in his play car.  When you hold him up he'll push his hands down in between his tummy and you, curl up and snuggle in.

This is his birthday carrot cake.  We ate half of it on his birthday, and planned to freeze and eat the other half for Scott's bday 9 days later, but hungry campers had a different idea four days later.  :D

We came home from our Death Valley camping trip and received a package in the mail from Grandpa and Grandma for Benjamin the next day.  A self-swimming fish, a drawing pad, and a beach ball were some of the fun things he and his sisters got to play with.

Scott's bday was more difficult to celebrate.  Tuesday is his longest workday of the week.  He was gone by 5:45 a.m. and had meetings all day, getting very little actual work done.  We had mishaps and traffic and an unlocated gift and one undelivered gift, but all was fun and happy.  We ate cheese puffs for dinner and watched Moana for the first time.

Kayla actually fell from our kitchen stool and hit her mouth on the floor.  There wasn't much blood, but it was a hard hit, which bruised and moved her teeth back a little.

  1. Poor Kayla! That sounds so painful! Scott's birthday sounds as complicated as Brian's was to celebrate. I'm glad that Benjamin had a great day!
