About Us

I had surgery on the big toe of my left foot again about 4 weeks ago. It is almost all healed up but I still get a lot of swelling in it. Meantime we had ordered a storage shed and it arrived while I was on bed rest, so Sharon's son, Whitaker, helped pick it up & then he & Sharon completely assembled it. He was between jobs, so it worked out well. He starts a new job tomorrow. He added a shelter on the back to park our ATV's under & we got them all running again. He also helped Sharon put shelves in the Laundry Room & I was able to help a little with that. Yesterday we bought a small used travel trailer to use when we go to visit Eric & Sarah for Trevor's baptism next month. We figured we'll save money over the cost of motels, etc. We hope to be able to visit church history sites on the way & on the way back we plan to go down to Florida & have Thanksgiving with Sharon's daughter & granddaughter who haven't been with family for 15 years. The trailer only cost $650 plus we'll have sales tax, etc. & it needs some repairs to get it ready. We hope the old minivan can handle the weight of pulling it & have been told it should be able to. Sharon got a Bosch mixer for her birthday & has been baking delicious bread. She also got a new calling as Relief Society 1st Counselor so she enjoys the new opportunities for service and baking fits right in to that. She was released from being Choir Director but is still a Ward Missionary with me. We really enjoyed the General Conference sessions. We enjoy opportunities to tend grandkids, as we did recently with Elena & Scott & Lisa's kids & we enjoy getting to attend performances & games when invited. We spent part of my recovery time at the cabin & went to the temple in Vernal. We attended the dedication of the Brigham City Temple in Duchesne also. We have family history in Brigham City as that is where Mads C. Jensen was sent to start the Jensen Flour Mill when he brought his family from Denmark. We'd like to go up there & learn more about it some day soon.
