September/October 2022
One Saturday morning in September, we woke up to see that several huge limbs had fallen off one of our big locust trees in the backyard. We were so thankful they had fallen in the night, and not the evening before when the kids had been out playing under that tree with several neighbor friends. We were also thankful it happened on a Saturday when we had time to take care of it. We did some research and found it to be a condition called "sudden branch drop syndrome" where trees just sometimes drop branches in late summer for no reason.
Here are some pictures of the craziness of the "clean out the basement for new carpet" project.
And some cute picures:
In October, during Fall Break, we took another trip to Spokane. We drove straight there through Montana and norther Idaho. It took us 13 hours! The fall colors were amazing! The pictures don't do them justice. We looked at a few houses while we were there, and got a better feel for the area. And we visited an old mission companion of mine. On the way home, we went through Boise and stayed a couple days with Scott's parents. We even made a brief visit to our Boise cousins so they could meet Lily.
Then we had some Halloween fun.

Sorry about the weird layouts. The new way they do the coding doesn't make any sense to me.
