Carlson's February

Our February was mostly uneventful. Most of the kids were sick for most of the month, so we didn't get out or do much. The most exciting part of the month was Valentine's Day. The kids had fun at their school parties, and of course we made family Valentines. Aunt Kathleen came and spent the night Friday. Scott and I got to go to the temple together, which was wonderful, and the kids loved spending time with Aunt Kathleen. This is the only picture we took in February.

We also spent a lot of time shopping. In January, we had several things break - our computer, our car, and our dishwasher. This month, we were able to repair or replace all of them. We're still anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new dishwasher.

We watched the snow melt, some of us with hope and glee, and others with sadness and longing. We've really enjoyed playing outside with the warmer weather, and healthier kids.

We get a front row seat to the temple renovations started this month. Actually, I don't think they are doing anything to the outside, but we got to watch all the moving trucks hauling furniture away, and we watch with anticipation each night to see if the lights will come on. Some nights, all the lights are on, some nights only the window lights are on, and some nights only the flood lights are on. We're sad that the temple is closed, but look forward to getting to participate in the open house and re-dedication.

We took Peter back to the urologist this month. He will have to have another surgery in March to repair a leak. (The incision sight reopened.) We're nervous, considering the trauma of last time, but hopeful that this will go smoother and be the final repair.
